In addition, chrome plating can create a film that is sensitive to temperature and humidity changes - and this is exactly the environment in which the heated towel rail is used. The chrome-plated product is easy to damage, scratch, the chrome layer fades. While the surface of a stainless steel pipe is eternal - even if damaged, it can easily be re-grinded and polished.
