Polished Stainless Steel or Chrome Plating?

Mario heated towel rails covering never peel off ... because there is no! Since all heated towel rails are made of the stainless steel without any chrome plating. And the shining of the finished product is ensured by high-quality electro-plasma polishing.
What is the difference between chrome plating and stainless steel? At first glance, they are identical: nice shining, the same to the touch. But they show themselves completely differently during exploitation.
Firstly - the material itself, chrome plated, mainly the so-called black steel - this is an iron alloy that is not resistant to corrosion, unlike stainless steel. Therefore, the pipe, covered with a layer of chromium, can rust over time. In addition, chrome plating can create a film that is sensitive to temperature and humidity changes - and this is exactly the environment in which the heated towel rail is used. The chrome-plated product is easy to damage, scratch, the chrome layer fades. While the surface of a stainless steel pipe is eternal - even if damaged, it can easily be re-grinded and polished.
